三者均指參與婦女賣(mài)淫活動(dòng)者。其中，bawd ( “鴇婆”或 “鴇公”）用于指為妓女拉客者（尤指婦女），其為舊用語(yǔ)（archaic word), 現(xiàn)已鮮見(jiàn)[1]。panderer則為“組織賣(mài)淫嫖娼者”， 專(zhuān)指招募妓女或?yàn)樗税才艌?chǎng)所賣(mài)淫嫖娼者（recruiting prostitutes of arranging a situation for another to practice prostitution)[2] 。pimp則為“皮條客”，指替妓女拉客且從中分得該妓女賣(mài)淫所得中的—定利益者(soliciting customers for a prostitute in return for a share of the prostitute's earnings) [3] 。
