Motion may be defined as a continuous change in position .
運(yùn)動(dòng)可被定義 為位置的不斷變化。
Humidity refers to the amount of water vapour in the air .
濕度是指空 氣中的水蒸氣含量。
By conductivity we mean the ability to conduct an electric current .
所 謂電導(dǎo)率是指?jìng)鲗?dǎo)電流的能力。
By electrical resistance is meant the hindrance to the flow of electrons .
所謂電阻是指對(duì)電子流動(dòng)的阻力。
2．常用表達(dá)式：
“A ” is a / an “B” + “C”
“A” is defined as a／ an “B” + “C”
式中, “A”是被定義的 詞；
“B”是總類詞；
“C”是定義限定詞。
定義限定詞常用以下的 幾種表達(dá)方式：
which-定語(yǔ)從句
-ed 分詞短語(yǔ)
-ing 分詞短語(yǔ)
for + - ing
with + NP
介詞 + which- 定語(yǔ)從句
A pump is a machine which is used for transferring a liquid or a gas from one place to another .
