漢語對照，字義基本對應(yīng)，但形式在譯文中做了改變，均由動詞短詞變?yōu)榱嗣~短語，卻又轉(zhuǎn)換得那么自然。
4. 大批仁人志士，滿腔悲憤，萬種辛酸，想有所為而不能為, 真是英雄無用武之地。
So many men and women with high ideals，worried and frustrated,wished to do something about it，only to find that, able as they were, they had no chance to carry out their ideals.
漢語工整對仗、抑揚頓挫，英語卻長短不一，參差不齊;漢語旣有“滿腔”又有“萬種”。英語卻只有“焦慮”與“灰心”，并非歷歷俱足，思維方式，差異大矣！
5. 作為世界第一大洲，亞洲幅員廣闊，人口眾多，資源豐富， 有著巨大的發(fā)展?jié)摿Α?br/> Asia，the largest continent in the world , is a vast land with a huge population, abundant natural resources and enormous potential for development.
原文三個四字結(jié)構(gòu)連續(xù)排列語氣強烈，齊頭并進，譯文卻處理為一主二從句式，嚴守邏輯形式，層次分明。
6.我們必須解放思想、實事求是、扎實工作，開拓進取……
We should emancipate our minds，seek truth from facts and work hard and creatively.
前三個四字結(jié)構(gòu)基本照字直譯，最后一個轉(zhuǎn)換為一個副詞，這是原文邏輯語義的要求，盡管句式結(jié)構(gòu)有了變化，卻同樣承續(xù)了原文的氣勢。
7. 今后15年是承前啟后、繼往開來的重要時期。
The next 15 years represents an extremely important period linking the past with the future.
后一個四字結(jié)構(gòu)實際上是對前一個語氣的加強，兩個四字結(jié)構(gòu)表達的是一個意思，漢語不如此語氣會顯單薄，英語若照譯則顯重復(fù)累贅。還看一例：
8. 防止個人專斷和各自為政，反對有令不行、有禁不止。
To prevent the tendency to make decisions arbitrarily and go their own way and oppose the defiance of orders and prohibitions.
后一個四字結(jié)構(gòu)實則也是前一個語氣的延伸，屬“同義重復(fù)”現(xiàn)象，實際意義為“違抗禁令”，譯出來似乎不如原文那樣語氣強烈，然而意義卻十分貼切。

上述各例淸楚地表明了漢語四字結(jié)構(gòu)在英譯文中的不同表達方式，為我們在漢譯中如何處理這類表達提供了借鑒的方法和途徑。
