方式狀語從句的譯法

英語中引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句的連接詞有：as, as if, as though, just as, in a manner that, in this way that, in such a way, to the extent that, in degree as, according as, in the same as, 等。方式狀語的譯法有如下三種情況。
1. 順譯法
方式狀語從句有時可譯為漢語的ー個方式分句，一般按照原句子的順序翻譯即可。如：
* Electric charges have the opposite polarities just as magnets have north and south poles.
電荷有相反的極性，就像磁鐵有南北極一樣。?
* Just as sound waves do, light waves differ in frequency.
同聲波一樣，光波也有不同的頻率。
* Electrical pulses pass along these nerves just as an electric current passing through wires.
電脈沖流過這些神經(jīng)，就像電流通過電線一樣。
2.合譯法
有時可以把原文的主句和方式狀語從句譯為ー個單句，合譯的方法有兩種。
