陰陽清濁/Yin Yang Qing Zhuo

(The Lucid and Turbid of the Yin and Yang Energies)

黃帝日:余聞十二經(jīng)脈，以應(yīng)十二經(jīng)水[十二經(jīng)水:《太素》卷十二《訾衛(wèi)氣行》“十二經(jīng)水”下重“十二經(jīng)水”四字]者，其五色各異，清濁不同，人之血氣若一，應(yīng)之奈何?岐伯日:人之血氣，茍能若一，則天下為一矣，惡有亂者乎。黃帝日:余問一人，非問天下之眾。岐伯日:夫一人者，亦有亂氣，天下之眾，亦有亂人，其合為一耳。

Yellow Emperor said: "I am told that the twelve channels in human body correspond to the twelve water channels on earth. The colours of the twelve water channels are different, and the lucidity and the turbidity of them are diverse, but in human body, the conditions of the blood and energy in the twelve channels are the same, why people say they are corresponding?" Qibo said: "If the conditions of the blood and energy in human body were the same, then, all things in the world could be the same also, and how could any turmoils happen?" Yellow Emperor said:"What I said was indicating the conditions of the blood and energy in the channels of a man, I did not ask the conditions about the human affairs in the world." Qibo said:"There is the disorderly energy in a person and also in the masses of the world. Their conditions are the same."

黃帝日:愿聞氣之清濁。岐伯日:受谷者濁，受氣者清。清者注[注:日抄本作“五”]陰，濁者注陽。獨而清者，上出于咽;清而濁者，則下行[則下行:《甲乙》卷一第十二作“下行于胃”]。清濁相干[清濁相干:4巻一第十二“清濁相干”句上有“清者上行，濁者下行”八字]，命日亂氣。

Yellow Emperor said: "I like to hear about the lucid and turbid energies in human body." Qibo said:"The cereal one eats is of the turbid energy, and the air one inhales is of the lucid energy. The lucid energy pours into the lung, and the turbid energy pours into the stomach; the lucid energy dominates Yin and the turbid energy dominates Yang; the lucid energy transformed by the turbid energy ascends and comes out from the pharynx, the turbid energy which is contained in the lucid energy descends to the gastric cavity. If the ascent and the descent of the lucid energy and the turbid energy become disorderly and interfering each other, it is called the disorderly energy."

黃帝日:夫陰清而陽濁，濁者[者:《甲乙》卷一第十二作“中”]有清，清者有濁，清濁[清濁:應(yīng)據(jù)《太素》《甲乙》刪]別之奈何?岐伯曰:氣之大別，清者上注于肺，濁者下走[走:《甲乙》巻一第十二并作“流”]于胃。胃之清氣，上出于口;肺之濁氣，下注于經(jīng)，內(nèi)積于海。

Yellow Emperor asked:"As Yin is lucid and Yang is turbid, in the turbid energy, it contains the lucid energy, and in the lucid energy, it contains the turbid energy, how to distinguish it?" Qibo said: "The approximate difference of the energies are: the lucid energy ascends and pour into the lung and the turbid energy descends and flows into the stomach. The lucid energy transformed by the stomach ascends to exit from the mouth, and the turbid energy which is contained in the lung descends to pour into the channel and accumulates in the sea of energy inside."

黃帝曰:諸陽皆濁，何陽濁甚乎?岐伯曰:手太陽獨受陽之濁，手太陰獨受陰之清，其清者上走空竅，其濁者下行諸經(jīng)。諸陽皆清，足太陰獨受其濁。

Yellow Emperor saked: "Since all the hollow organs of Yang are the locations where the turbid energy situates, which one of the hollow organs is the most turbid one?" Qibo said:"It is solely the Hand Taiyang Channel of Small Intestine receives the turbid energy of Yang most. and it is solely the Hand Taiyin Channel of Lung receives the lucid energy of Yin most; the lucid energy ascends to reach the orificies, and the turbid energy descends to enter into the various channels. The five viscera which all belong to Yin receive the lucid energy, except the spleen of Foot Taiyin Channel receives the turbid energy of the stomach.

黃帝曰:治之奈何?岐伯曰:清者其氣滑，濁者其氣澀，此氣之常也。故刺陰者，深而留之;刺陽者，淺而疾之;清濁相干者，以數(shù)調(diào)之也。

Yellow Emperor asked:"How to treat and adjust the lucid and turbid energies of Yin and Yang?" Qibo said: "The lucid energy is slippery and the turbid energy is choppy, and these are the normal conditions of energies. Thus, when treating the disease of solid organs which belong to Yin, prick deeply and retain the needle longer: when treating the disease of hollow organs which belong to Yang, prick shallowly and pull out the needle swiftly. If the lucid energy and the turbid energy are interfering each other, one should deliberate whether the treating should be emphasized on Yin or Yang according to the specific condition."
