虛擬語氣

是專門表達(dá)“假設(shè)意義”（hypothetical meaning）及其他“非事實(shí)意義”（non-factual meaning）的動(dòng)詞形式，表示所說的只是一種主觀的愿望，假象和建議等。例如： 

[例] I wish I were a bird. 

我希望我是一只鳥。 

[例]If there were no gravity, we should not be able to walk. 

如果沒有重力，我們就無法行走。 

[例] He suggests that we should all go to see the film. 

他建議我們?nèi)タ措娪啊?nbsp;

[例]If I were you，I would accept it。 

如果我是你（我永遠(yuǎn)不可能是你，表虛擬），我將接受它。 

If you had been here yesterday, you would have seen him. 

昨天你如果在這兒，你就見到他了。（事實(shí)是“昨天你沒在這兒，未見到他”）
