問：據(jù)報(bào)道，美國總統(tǒng)要求美國貿(mào)易代表辦公室研究是否對中國1000億出口商品征收額外關(guān)稅，請問中方有何評論？
答：我們注意到美方有關(guān)聲明。大家可能注意到，中國商務(wù)部新聞發(fā)言人已就此表明中方立場。我愿在此再次重申，在中美經(jīng)貿(mào)問題上，中方立場已經(jīng)講得很清楚。我們不想打，但不怕打貿(mào)易戰(zhàn)。
Q: Reports say that the US President has instructed the Office of the US Trade Representative to consider slapping an extra $100 billion in tariffs on Chinese goods. What is your comment?
A: We have noted the relevant statement from the US side. The Spokesperson of the Commerce Ministry has already made a response. I would like to reiterate that China's position on the issue of China-US trade relations has been explained clear enough. We are definitely not afraid of a trade war even though we do not seek one.
對美方聲明我們將聽其言觀其行。如果美方不顧中方和國際社會(huì)反對，堅(jiān)持搞單邊主義和貿(mào)易保護(hù)主義行徑，中方將奉陪到底，必定予以堅(jiān)決回?fù)?，必定采取新的綜合應(yīng)對措施，不惜付出任何代價(jià)，堅(jiān)決捍衛(wèi)國家和人民的利益。
這次中美經(jīng)貿(mào)沖突，是美方一手挑起，本質(zhì)上是美單邊主義對全球多邊主義、美保護(hù)主義對全球自由貿(mào)易的挑釁。中方將繼續(xù)擴(kuò)大改革開放，維護(hù)多邊貿(mào)易體制，推動(dòng)全球貿(mào)易投資自由化和便利化。
We have heard what the US has said publicly about imposing tariffs, and we will also monitor what moves it will take. If the United States disregards the objections of China and the international community and persists in unilateralism and trade protectionism, the Chinese side will follow through to the end and fight back resolutely. We will take new comprehensive countermeasure to resolutely safeguard the interests of our nation and our people at whatever cost.
By provoking a trade conflict with China, the US side in fact mounted a challenge to the world multilateralism and free trade regime with its unilateralism and protectionism. China will continue with its efforts to deepen reform and opening-up, safeguard the multilateral trading system, and promote liberalization and facilitation of global trade and investment.
