黃帝日:刺壯士真骨者[真骨者:按此三字誤衍]奈何?岐伯日:刺壯士真骨[真骨:按“真”應(yīng)作“者”，“骨”字屬下讀]，堅(jiān)肉緩節(jié)監(jiān)監(jiān)然，此人重則氣澀血濁，刺此者，深而留之，多益其數(shù);勁[勁:按“勁”當(dāng)作“輕”]則氣滑血清，刺此者，淺而疾之。

Yellow Emperor asked:"How to prick a strong man in his prime of life?" Qibo said: "The bone of a strong man in his prime of life is firm, his muscle is thick and he has strong and large joints. When treating this kind of people, if he is a prudent and steady man, his energy will be stagnant and his blood turbid, it should prick deeply, retain the needle and increase the times of the pricking; if he is light-headed and active, his energy will be slippery and his blood lucid, prick shallowly and pull out the needle rapidly."

黃帝日:刺嬰兒奈何?岐伯日:嬰兒者，其肉脆血少氣弱，刺此者，以豪[豪:周本，日刻本，張注本，并作“毫”]針，淺刺而疾發(fā)針，日再可也。

黃帝日:臨深決水奈何?岐伯曰:血清氣濁[濁:《太素》卷二十二《刺法》作“滑”]，疾瀉之，則氣竭焉。黃帝日:循掘決沖奈何?岐伯日:血濁氣澀，疾瀉之，則經(jīng)[經(jīng):《甲乙》卷五第六作“氣”]可通也。

黃帝日:脈行之逆順奈何?岐伯曰:手之三陰，從臟走手;手之三陽(yáng)，從手走頭。足之三陽(yáng)，從頭走足;足之三陰，從足走腹。

Yellow Emperor asked:"What are the conditions of the adverse and agreeable circulations of the twelve channels?" Qibo said:"The three Yin channels of hand start from the chest and end on the tips of the fingers; the three Yang channels of hand start from the arm and end in the head; the three Yang channels of foot start from the head and end on the tips of the toe, the three Yin channels of foot start from the foot and end at the abdomen."

黃帝曰:少陰之脈獨(dú)下行何也?岐伯日:不然。夫沖脈者，五臟六腑之海也，五臟六腑皆寨焉。其上者，出于頏顙，滲諸陽(yáng)，灌諸精[精:《甲乙》卷二第二作“陰”];其下者，注少陰之大絡(luò)，出于氣街[街:黃校本作“銜”]，循陰股內(nèi)廉，入[入:《甲乙》卷二第二“入”上有“斜”字]服中，伏行骭骨內(nèi)，下至內(nèi)踝之后[后:《太素》卷十《沖脈》無(wú)此字]屬而別;其下者，并于少陰之經(jīng)，滲三陰;其前者，伏行出附屬，下[下:顧氏《校記》云:“‘下’乃‘上’之誤”]循跗入大指間，滲諸絡(luò)而溫肌肉。故別絡(luò)結(jié)則跗上不動(dòng)，不動(dòng)則厥，厥則寒矣。黃帝曰:何以明之?岐伯日:以言導(dǎo)之，切而驗(yàn)之，其非必動(dòng)，然后乃可明逆順之行也。黃帝日:窘乎哉!圣人之為道也。明于日月，微于毫厘，其非夫子，孰能道之也。

Its ascending channel stem from the upper orifice of the nasal meatus, permeates into the Yang channel and pour into the Yin channel; its descending channel pours into the large collateral of Hand Shaoyin Channel of Kidney (the Dazhong point), comes out to the Qichong point, runs along the inner side of the thigh, enters slantingly into the popliteal fossa and lies concealed in the inner side of the leg, it descends to the joint of the tibia and the tarsal bone of the inner ankle and then branches out. Its descending side branch runs along with the Foot Shaoyin Channel, permeates into the three Yin channels of liver, spleen and kidney; its side branch which runs forward, runs into hiding and then comes out near the outer ankle, descends to the dorsum of foot, enters into the side of the toe, permeates into the collaterals to warm and nourish the muscle. Thus, if there is impediment in the collateral branch of the Chong Channel in the Iower extremities, the pulse on the foot dorsum will not pulsate, when it is not pulsating, the Wei-energy will stop running and jueni and the syndrome of cold limbs will occur." Yellow Emperor asked: "How can one understand the adverse and agreeable conditions of the Chong Channel and the Shaoyin Channel?”Qibo said: 'It can be made understood by oral explanation, besides, it can be verified by pressing the pulse on the foot dorsum, if it is not the Shaoyin Channel, the pulse on the foot dorsum will be pulsating, and one can know the adverse and agreeable relations of the Shaoyin Channel and the Chong Channel." Yellow Emperor said: "How significant it is! The principle of acupuncture of the saints is as bright as the sun and moon, and is meticulous without a least deviation. If it were not you, who can explain it!"
