凡痹之客五藏者,肺痹者,[《圣濟總錄》引“肺痹者”下有“胸背痛甚上氣”六字],煩滿喘而嘔;心痹者,脈不通,煩則心下鼓,暴上氣而喘,嗌乾善噫,厥氣上則恐;肝痹者,夜臥則驚,多飲數(shù)小便,上為引如懷[“為”字衍,本句應作“上引如懷妊”];腎痹者,善脹,尻以代踵,脊以代頭;脾痹者,四支解墮,發(fā)咳[《全生指迷方》引“咳”作“渴”]嘔汁[《三因》卷三《敘論》引“汁”作“沫”],上為大[“大”應作“不”]塞;腸痹者,數(shù)飲而出不得,中氣喘爭[《三因方》引“爭”作“急”],時發(fā)飧泄;胞痹者,少腹膀胱,按之內(nèi)痛[“內(nèi)痛”《太素》作“兩髀”,“兩髀”有太陽脈氣所過],若沃以湯,澀于小便,上為清涕。
"When the bi-disease invades the five solid organs, their symptoms are different. The symptoms of the lung-bi-syndrome are: acute pain in the chest and back, reversing up of the vital energy, restless and depressive, rapid respiration and vomiting. The symptoms of the cardiac bi-syndrome are: impediment of the channel, irritability, palpitation of the heart, sudden rushing up of the energy to cause rapid respiration, dryness of the throat and frequent eruction, as the adverse energy is up-pressing the heart, it causes the patient to become frightened. The symptoms of the hepatic bi-syndrome are: being frightened. The symptoms of the hepatic bi-syndrome are: being terrified often when sleeping at night, desire for drinking, frequent micturition, distention of the lower abdomen like being pregnant.
The symptoms of the kidney bi-syndrome are: swelling of the whole body, can sit only but can not walk due to the swelling, can only lower the head but can not lift it up. The patient feels like his coccyx is touching the ground, his cervical bones are slanting down, and his spinal vertebrae are springing up. The symptoms of the splenic bi-syndrome are: tiredness and weakness of the extremities, thirsty, vomiting foam and has stagnation in the chest. The symptcms of the intestinal bi-syndrome are: frequent drinking, dysuria, insufficient of the middle energy to cause rapid respiration and sometimes has diarrhea. The symptoms of the bladder bi-syndrome are: feeling hot like being sprinkled with hot soup when the thighs are pressed by hands, dysuria and running of clear mucus in the nose.
陰氣者,靜則神藏,躁則消亡,飲食自倍,腸胃乃傷。淫氣喘息,痹聚在肺;淫氣憂思,痹聚在心;淫氣遺溺[《太素》作“歐唾”,按《宜明五氣篇》“腎為唾”],痹聚在腎,淫氣乏竭[《太素》“竭”作“渴”],痹聚在肝;淫氣肌[《太素》“肌”作“饑”]絕,痹聚在脾。
"When the Yin energy of the five solid organs is calm, the spirit will be kept inside, when it is irritating it will apt to be dispersd outside. If the food and drink are taken excessively, the intestine and the stomach will be injured. When one has rapid respiration at the time of the energy is disharmonious and abnormal, the evil energies of wind, cold and wetness will apt to accumulate in the lung: when one is in melancholy and anxiety at the time of the energy being disharmonious and abnormal, the evil energies of wind, cold and wetness will apt to accumulate in the heart; when one vomits at the time of the energy being disharmonious and abnormal, the evil energies of wind, cold and wetness will apt to accumulate in the kidney; when one is tired and thirsty at the time of the energy being disharmonious and abnormal, the evil energies of wind, cold and wetness will apt to accumulate in the liver; when one is extremely hungry to injure the stomach at the time of the energy being disharmonious and abnormal, the evil energies of wind, cold and wetness will apt to accumulate in the spleen.
