英語中有三百多個(gè)含有拉丁后綴-ary的單詞。-ary可兼作名詞后綴與形容詞后綴。1)作為名詞后綴時(shí)，它可以加在名詞或名詞性詞根后面表示a place for?（…的場所），a collection of ?s (…的群體），或a person or thing connected with (與…有關(guān)的人或物）。2)作為形容詞后綴時(shí)，它加在名詞或名詞性詞根后面，表示of?（…的）；being?（是…的）和charactered by ~ (以… 為特點(diǎn)的）。

先介紹幾個(gè)以-ary為后綴的名詞。
