漢語(yǔ)中“據(jù)（……）報(bào)道、據(jù)說(shuō)、據(jù)悉、據(jù)稱”以及“一般認(rèn)為、應(yīng)該、必須（指出）、已經(jīng)證明”等無(wú)主句，以及一些主語(yǔ)很泛的主動(dòng)式，如“有人、人們、大家”等一些習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)，從漢語(yǔ)的角度看屬于主動(dòng)態(tài)，但英譯時(shí)通常用被動(dòng)態(tài)。對(duì)這類句子的翻譯，可以充分利用英語(yǔ)中it作形式主語(yǔ)。例如：

1）[原文]據(jù)說(shuō)，一座核電站正在建設(shè)中。

[譯文] A nuclear power plant is said to be underconstruction.(或翻譯或：It is said that a nuclear power plant is under construction. )

2）[原文]人們普遍認(rèn)為，只要努力，就會(huì)成功。

[譯文」It is generally thougbt(accepted)that hard work precedes success.

3）[原文]據(jù)說(shuō)（有人說(shuō)）他病了。

4）[原文]很明顯，這項(xiàng)計(jì)劃應(yīng)該取消。

5）[原文]應(yīng)該說(shuō)，情況基本良好。

6）[原文]可以肯定，這件事是真的。

7）[原文]據(jù)報(bào)道，這次洪災(zāi)直接損失這到20多億。

[譯文]It is reported that direct losses caused by the flood disaster exceeded 2 billion.(或翻譯成：Direct losses caused by the flood disaster has been reported to exceed 2 billion. )

8）[原文]據(jù)說(shuō)新措施年底出臺(tái)。

[譯文]It is said that new measures will come out at the end of the year.

9）[原文]有人懷疑這個(gè)調(diào)查結(jié)果并不真實(shí)。
