發(fā)揮譯語(yǔ)優(yōu)勢(shì)，注重讀者效應(yīng)

156 kilometers (1,5-hour drive) away from Chengdu City in the Sichuan basin，southwest of China, stands the Mt. Emei with its summit Jinding(the Golden Top) towering above range upon range of rolling mountains stretching westward, all covered with snow, and in an eastward distance lying a wide expanse of flat land. // It boasts of its mountainous spectacles of clouds sea, sunrise, and the marvelous natural phenomena of “Buddha's Halo” and “Holy Lamp”，as well as its natural landscapes filled with large-green-woods, exuberant vegetation, flowers, streams, waterfalls, etc.. // As one of the best-known tourist attractions, Mt, Emei been listed as a World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
譯文同樣充滿(mǎn)詩(shī)情両意，只是結(jié)構(gòu)更緊湊，邏輯史合理(按英語(yǔ)的邏輯層次將原文四個(gè)平行鋪排的松散句式整合為二個(gè)結(jié)構(gòu)緊湊的主從復(fù)合句，有增有減。見(jiàn)斜線標(biāo)記處另外，原文中“云海、日出、佛光、圣燈”四大竒觀在漢語(yǔ)中可籠統(tǒng)提出，在英語(yǔ)中卻有邏輯不清之嫌：“云海、日出”為客觀自然景象，“佛光、圣燈”則是由自然現(xiàn)象變化出的幻景，二者不屬同一類(lèi)事物，因而譯文采用增譯的手法將其區(qū)別開(kāi)來(lái)，邏輯上似乎合理一些，表達(dá)也更清晰。
另外，從強(qiáng)化文本“呼喚”功能的角度出發(fā)，突出讀者至上，譯文釆用“YOU-FORM”的形式值得推薦。用第二人稱(chēng)娓娓道來(lái)的語(yǔ)氣不僅可以引人人勝與讀者直聞交流，還能滿(mǎn)足人們的心現(xiàn)自尊，喚起讀者積極的心理感應(yīng)。而且國(guó)外英語(yǔ)景介大多順應(yīng)這種趨勢(shì)。
