現(xiàn)在我們且從翻譯中出現(xiàn)的種種邏輯謬誤實(shí)例談起。以下例句取自翻譯出版物、大學(xué)規(guī)章、研究生作業(yè)等：
(1) SL: He is a good sport.
TL：他是輸了或被人取笑不生氣的人。
(2）SL：其實(shí)，在獵人下手以前老虎就已經(jīng)命歸黃泉了。
TL: In fact the tiger had already died before the hunter killed it.
(3）SL：參加駕駛考試者所乘駕之車輛可停泊于A區(qū)。
TL: Zone A is for those who take part in driving test to park their car.
(4) SL: The points cited above show my views of the aims and purpose of translation.
TL：以上舉出的兩點(diǎn)說明了我對(duì)翻譯的目的與宗旨的己見。
(5）SL：迄今我們尚未看到明年通貨膨脹有緩和的跡象。
TL: So far there are as yet no facts to show inflation ease the next year.
(6) SL: I am a poor calligrapher. I never was a calligrapher. My father's signature is much better than mine.
TL：我不是一名書法家，我這筆字從來就沒寫好，我父親的簽名就比我好看得多。
(7) SL: This type of steel pillars (T- SXC 334) are solid hence extremely hard and supportive and their uses flexible.
TL：這一型號(hào)的鋼柱(略型號(hào)）是實(shí)心的，因而極其堅(jiān)固，支撐力極強(qiáng)而且用起來也可放可收。
(8) SL: Books charged out are subject to recall. Due date is for reference only.
TL：所有書籍皆依據(jù)催還條例借出，還書日期只作參考之用。
(9) SL: If, however, an individual only performs services in Hong Kong during visits, so long as those visits do not amount to more than 60 days in the year of assessment he will not be charged to Salaries Tax on any of his remuneration.
TL：“但若納稅人于某一評(píng)稅年度內(nèi)在香港作多次訪問，然訪問期總天數(shù)未超過六十日，則其報(bào)酬所得均不按薪俸稅條款抽稅?！?/p>
(10）SL：今年中國恢復(fù)對(duì)香港行使主權(quán)后，在中央政府的統(tǒng)一領(lǐng)導(dǎo)之下，香港與廣東加強(qiáng)合作、溝通與協(xié)調(diào)將更為便利，兩地的優(yōu)勢(shì)互補(bǔ)更加充分，資源利
用更趨合理，產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)更具競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，從而更有利于香港長(zhǎng)期保持繁榮穩(wěn)定。
TL:(Furthermore) In 1997 when China restores its sovereignty over the territory, an unbounded horizen will be opened up for the two areas in their co-operation, communication and regulation under the unified leadership of the central government. Their respective advantages will be brought into full play, their resources will be utilized in a more optimized way and the competitiveness of their industrial structures will be
further enhanced.
(11) ST; But that was too late too, the sister (the sisters were twins, born at the same time, yet either of them now gave the impression of being, encompassing as much living meat and volume and weight as any other two of the family) not yet having begun to rise from the chair...
TL：然而這也太晚了。這個(gè)姐姐(兩個(gè)姐姐是同時(shí)出生的雙胞胎，然而兩人都給人家這樣一個(gè)印象：每人都可抵上家里其他任何兩個(gè)人，具有相當(dāng)于兩人的血肉、身軀和體重）還沒有從椅子上起身呢......
對(duì)以上十一句，我們?cè)囎饕韵逻壿嬓Ｕ?/p>
(1）譯句誤在產(chǎn)生歧義：一是“他是這么一個(gè)人：輸了，還被人取笑不生氣”，意思成了：輸了要生氣人們才不取笑；二是“他是認(rèn)輸?shù)娜?，即使輸了被人取笑也不生氣”；三是“他是輸了的人，或是被人取笑不生氣的人”，意思成了：?yīng)該生氣才對(duì)。譯者可能是想用第二義。
(2）譯句錯(cuò)在違反常理(悖理）:既然already died，何必還要kill呢?其實(shí)只要將kill改為shot，邏輯上即無誤矣。
