3. 引導(dǎo)狀語(yǔ)從句
(1) that常用來引導(dǎo)表示目的和結(jié)果的狀語(yǔ)從句，漢譯時(shí)可適當(dāng)增譯表示這些概念的詞語(yǔ)。如：
* The atmosphere is a mixture of substances that have such low freezing and boiling points that they exist as gases through a wide range of temperatures.
大氣是幾種物質(zhì)的混合物，這些物質(zhì)的凝固點(diǎn)及沸點(diǎn)十分低，以致在很大的溫度范圍內(nèi)，它們都以氣態(tài)存在。（ that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句）
* Modern aircraft are so heavy that the wings must develop a very large lift force in order to sustain the aircraft.
現(xiàn)代飛機(jī)如此之重，以致要支撐住飛機(jī)，機(jī)翼必須產(chǎn)生極大的升力。（that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句）
