病先發(fā)于肝[于肝:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一“于肝”下并有“頭目眩，脅痛支滿”七字]，三日[三日:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一作“一日”]而之脾，五日[五日:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一作“二日”]而之胃[之胃:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一“之胃”下并有“而腹脹”三字]，三日而之腎[之腎:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一下并有“少腹腰脊痛，脛痿”七字]，三[三;《脈經(jīng)》卷六第一并作“十”]日不已，死，冬日入，夏早食。

"When the disease begins in the liver, the patient will have dizziness and proping pain in the hypochondria; the disease will be transmitted to the spleen after one day; after another two days the disease will be transmitted to the stomach, and the patient will have abdominal obstruction; after another three days, the disease will be transmitted to the kidney and the patient will have pain in the lower abdomen, spine and tibia; if the disease is not recovered after another ten days, the patient will die; in winter, he will die when the sun sets, and in summer, he will die at the time of breakfast.

"When the disease begins in the spleen, it will be transmitted to the stomach after one day, and the patient will have distention of the stomach; after another two days, the disease will be transmitted to the kidney, and the patient will have pain in the lower abdomen, spine and tibia; after another three days, the disease will be transmitted to the bladder, and the patient will have pain in the tendons of the spine and arms, and he will have dysuria; If the disease is not recovered after another ten days, the patient will die; in winter, he will die when people go to sleep (9: 00-11:00Pm.), in summer, he will die at the time of supper.

病先發(fā)于胃[于胃:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第六“于胃”下并有“脹滿”二字]，五日而之腎，三日而之膂膀胱，五日而上之心，二日不已，死，冬夜半，夏日昳。

"When the disease begins in the stomach, the patient will have distention of stomach, the disease will be transmitted to the kidney after five days; after another three days, the disease will be transmitted to the bladder; after another five days, the disease will be transmitted to the heart; if the disease is not recovered after another two days, the patient will die; in winter, he will die after midnight, and in summer, he will die in the afternoon.

病先發(fā)于腎，三日而之膂[而之膂:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第九并無“而膂”二字]膀胱，三日而上之心，三日而之小腸[三日而上之心，三日而之小腸:《脈經(jīng)》卷六第九并作“二日上之心，心痛，三日之小腸脹”]，三日不已，冬大晨，夏早[早:日刻本，馬注本并作“晏”]脯。

"When the disease begins in the kidney, it will be transmitted to the bladder after three days; after another two days, the disease will be transmitted to the heart above to cause heartache; after another three days, the disease will be transmitted to the small intestine, and the patient will have distention of the small intestine; if the disease is not recovered after another three days, the patient will die; in winter, he will die at dawn, and in summer, he will die after sun set.

病先發(fā)于膀胱，五日而之腎，一日而之小腸[小腸:《甲乙》卷六第十“小腸”下有“腹脹”二字]，一[一:《甲乙》卷六第十作“二”]日而之心，二日不已，死，冬雞鳴，夏下脯。

"When the disease begins in the bladder, it will be transmitted to the kidney after five days; after another one day, the disease will be transmitted to the small intestine, and the patient will have abdomial distention; after another two days, the disease will be transmitted to the heart; if the disease is not recovered after another two days, the patient will die; in winter, he will die at cock crow (1:00-3:00Am.), and in summer, he will die in the afternoon.

諸病以次相傳，如是者，皆有死期，不可刺也!間一藏[一藏:《素問?標(biāo)本病傳論》“一藏”下有“止”字]及二[及二:《素問·標(biāo)本病傳論》“二”作“至”]三四藏者，乃可刺也。

"The various diseases are transmitted according to the regular sequence. To the diseases with the transmission of this kind, the date of death of the patient can be anticipated, and they can not be cured by acupuncture. When the transmission is ceased after skipping over one viscus or skipping over three or four viscera, then, it can be treated by pricking.
