二、經(jīng)濟類試題

這類試題文章的主題主要涉及對外貿(mào)易、中外合作、WTO與經(jīng)濟全球化等領(lǐng)域。其特點是考生既要能熟練地譯出常用的經(jīng)濟術(shù)語，又要掌握一定的翻譯技巧。例如，有一篇涉及我國外貿(mào)體制改革的文章(1998.9)。

第一句:“我國政府強化了對外貿(mào)易的控管,強化了商會這類中介機構(gòu)的服務(wù)與協(xié)調(diào)功能。”

兩個“強化”均可詳為“strengthen”?！爸薪闄C構(gòu)”可譯為“intermediary organization”。“商會這類中介機構(gòu)”中的“這類”有“諸如”、“等等”之意，按漢語結(jié)構(gòu)“a、b.c(小單位)等D(綜合單位)”可譯為:“D such as a,b.c"或“"such D as a、b、c"這樣的結(jié)構(gòu),由此可譯為: "such intermediary organization as chambers of commerce”或"intermediary organization such as chambers of commerce”、若解決了這些難點全句就可譯為:“Our government has strengthened the control over foreign trade and consolidated the service and coordinating functions of intermediary organizations such as chambers of commerce.”

第二句:“我們希望繼續(xù)加強外貿(mào)體制的改革,使之逐漸走向競爭,并受到諸如關(guān)稅、匯率和利率等法律和經(jīng)濟手段的制約?！?/p>

“外貿(mào)體制的改革”可譯為:“reform of our foreign trade system,"后半句則與前句相同為"a.b,c等D”結(jié)構(gòu)即譯為“such D as a、b、c"或"D such as a、b、c”的結(jié)構(gòu)。因此,全句可譯為:“We wish/hope to continue to strengthen reform of our foreign trade system in order to gradually open foreign trade to competition and to get it under control by both legal means and economic measures such as tariff, exchange rates and interest rates."

第三句:“所有這些都應(yīng)有助于加速中國外貿(mào)的國際化進程，為宏觀經(jīng)貿(mào)局面的形成創(chuàng)造一個較好的環(huán)境。”

若要譯好此句,關(guān)鍵在于譯好前半句,“有助于”的譯法有兩種：若“有助于”后跟動詞,可將其譯為“to help+ v.(動詞)”的結(jié)構(gòu);若“有助于”后跟名詞,可將其譯為“be conducive to+n.(名詞)”的結(jié)構(gòu)。此句為“有助于加速”，即“to help accelerate”。要譯好此句的另一個關(guān)鍵點是“國際化進程”,由于“化”即為“過程”。所以“進程”兩字可省略不詳譯。因此，全句可譯為:“All these should help accelerate/ speed up China's foreign trade internationalization and create a better environment for shaping of a macro economic and trade prospect.”

第四句:“通過促進商貿(mào)業(yè)、制造業(yè)、農(nóng)業(yè)、技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)和銀行之間更為密切的合作,我們能夠為國際市場提供更多、更好的出口產(chǎn)品。”

由于句中出現(xiàn)了五個產(chǎn)業(yè)“之間”，所以翻譯“之間”時要用“among”(兩者以上),而不能用“between”"(兩者之間)?！俺隹谏唐贰蓖ǔＷg為“export commodity”。因此,全句可譯為:“By promoting a closer cooperation among commercial trade industrics, manufacturing industries, agriculture, technology industries and banking, we will be able to provide more and better export commodities for the world market.”

最后一句:“在這種情況下,中國自然會成為一個大市場?！?/p>

對“在這種情況下”這類常用短語,考生應(yīng)熟讀并背出幾種譯法，如: under these/such circumstances, such being the case. giving this situation。

對于“自然會”與類似的“必然會”、“一定會”均可采用“be bound to+v.”的句型。因此，全句可譯為:“Such being the case, China is bound to become a large market.”
