新時代中國外交的使命，就是要為中國人民謀幸福而盡責(zé)，為人類進(jìn)步事業(yè)而擔(dān)當(dāng)。一方面，更加積極有為地為國內(nèi)發(fā)展服務(wù)，為實(shí)現(xiàn)“兩個一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)、實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的中國夢提供有力支持。另一方面，更加積極主動地為世界做貢獻(xiàn)，通過開展互利合作促進(jìn)各國共同發(fā)展，在國際事務(wù)中發(fā)揮好負(fù)責(zé)任大國作用，在力所能及范圍內(nèi)為國際社會提供更多公共產(chǎn)品。
把推動構(gòu)建新型國際關(guān)系、推動構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體確立為新時代中國外交的總目標(biāo)，既有中國深厚的歷史文化基因，也是基于我們對現(xiàn)實(shí)國情和世界形勢的客觀判斷。
The mission of Chinese diplomacy in the new era is to shoulder the responsibility of the well-being of the Chinese people and progress of mankind. To accomplish this mission, we need to work more vigorously to serve China's own development and provide strong support to the realization of the "two centenary goals" and the Chinese dream of national renewal. At the same time, we also need to be more active in our contribution to the rest of the world by promoting common development through win-win cooperation, acting as a responsible major country in international affairs, and providing more public goods to the international community to the best of our ability.
The overarching goal of this diplomacy is to foster a new type of international relations and build a community with a shared future for mankind. This objective is rooted in China's long history and culture, and reflects what we make of the realities in China and in the world.
回顧歷史，中華民族歷來講求“天下一家”。我們認(rèn)為，世界各國盡管存在這樣那樣的矛盾分歧，免不了會有這樣那樣的磕磕碰碰，但世界各國人民都生活在同一片藍(lán)天下，擁有同一個家園，夢想相通、命運(yùn)相連，應(yīng)該是一家人。
立足現(xiàn)實(shí)，盡管過去幾十年中國的發(fā)展已經(jīng)取得舉世矚目的成就，中國社會的主要矛盾也發(fā)生了歷史性的變化，但是，中國仍處于社會主義初級階段的基本國情沒有變，中國作為世界最大發(fā)展中國家的國際地位沒有變。要決勝全面建成小康社會、奪取建設(shè)社會主義現(xiàn)代化強(qiáng)國新勝利，中國必須持續(xù)付出更艱辛的努力，也離不開一個和平穩(wěn)定的國際環(huán)境。
Throughout history, the Chinese nation views the world as one big family. We believe that despite certain differences, or sometimes unavoidable frictions among countries, people across all countries belong to one big family as they live on the same planet they call home, with their dreams and futures closely linked.
As we speak, despite the phenomenal progress China has achieved in the past decades and the historic shift in the principal contradiction of its society, the reality that China remains at the primary stage of socialism has not changed, and its international status as the world's largest developing country has not changed. To secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and to develop a great modern socialist country, China needs to make persistent and harder efforts and a peaceful and stable international environment.
