第三，他們都是值得信賴(lài)的好朋友。祝勤公使與我共事兩年多，他勤奮、嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)墓ぷ髯黠L(fēng)不僅給我，也一定給英國(guó)朋友和使館同事留下深刻的印象。陳雯公使在我上任時(shí)擔(dān)任外交部歐洲司英國(guó)處處長(zhǎng)，九年上了四個(gè)臺(tái)階，其中的艱辛和付出毋庸細(xì)說(shuō)。今天，我要跟大家分享一下他們工作之外的另一面。祝勤公使和陳雯公使都是豁達(dá)開(kāi)朗、真誠(chéng)友善、幽默風(fēng)趣的好朋友、好伙伴。在駐英使館春節(jié)聯(lián)歡會(huì)上，他們演出的小品總能獲得最熱烈的掌聲和最歡樂(lè)的笑聲。他們還分別是2018年度駐英使館羽毛球比賽的男雙和混雙冠軍。
Both Minister Zhu Qin and Minister Chen Wen are trustworthy friends.
Minister Zhu Qin and I have spent two and a half years working together. His diligence and his rigorous attitude have impressed not only me but also many British friends and his colleagues at the Embassy.
Minister Chen Wen was head of the British Division in the Department of European Affairs of China's Foreign Ministry when I came to London as Chinese Ambassador. In just nine years, she made four steps upward in her career. One can imagine the hard efforts that she has made.
Today, let me share with you the other side of the two ministers.
Both Minister Zhu Qin and Minister Chen Wen are good friends and good team workers. They are broad-minded, open, kind and sincere. Both have a good sense of humor.
They are super stars at the Embassy's Chinese New Year Gala. Their appearance in a cameo always wins the loudest laughter and applause.
Moreover, they are 2018 champions in men's doubles and mixed doubles respectively in the badminton competition of the Embassy.
女士們、先生們、朋友們，
