黃帝日:五亂者，刺之有道乎?岐伯日:有道以來，有道以去，審知其道，是謂身寶。黃帝日: 善。感聞其道。岐伯曰:氣在于心者，取之手少陰、心主之輸。氣在于肺者，取之手太陰滎、足少陰輸。氣在于腸胃者，取之足太陰，陽明(不)下者，取之三里。氣在于頭者，取之天柱、大桿;不知，取足太陽滎輸。氣在于臂足，取之先去血脈，后取其陽明、少陽之滎輸。

Yellow Emperor asked: "Is there any principle for treating the five kinds of disturbances stated above by pricking?" Qibo said: "When the disease attacks, there is a way of coming, when the disease is removed, there is a way of going, when one knows precisely the ways of coming and going of the disease and treat properly, it is supposed to be the treasure of maintaining the bodily health. " Yellow Emperor said: "Good. I hope to hear the principle of treating." Qibo said: "When the disturbing energy is in the heart, prick the Shenmen acupoint of the Hand Shaoyin Channel and the Daling acupoint of the Hand Jueyin Channel of Pericardium, when the disturbing energy is in the lung, prick the Yuji point which is the Xing point of the Hand Taiyin Channel and the Taixi acupoint of the Foot Shaoyin Channel; when the disturbing energy is in the intestine and stomach, prick the Taibai acupoint of the Foot Taiyin Channel and the Sanli point which is the lower acupoint of the Foot Yangming Channel; when the disturbing energy is in the head, prick the Tianzhu acupoint and the Dazhu acupoint, if the syndrome is not relieved, prick the Tonggu point which is the Xing-point of Foot Taiyang Channel and the Shugu acupoint of the Foot Taiyang Channel; when the evil energy is in the arm and the leg, when pricking, remove the partial stagnated blood first, then prick the Xing-point or the acupoint of the Foot Yangming and the Foot Shaoyang Channel respectively according to the specific conditions of the disease which is on the arm or the leg."

黃帝日:補瀉奈何?岐伯曰:徐入徐出，謂之導(dǎo)氣，補瀉無形，謂之同[同:日抄本作“固”]精，是非有余不足也，亂氣之相逆也。黃帝曰:“允[允:《太素》卷十二《營衛(wèi)氣行》作“光”]乎哉道，明乎哉論，請著之玉版，命日治亂也。

When pricking without regular forms in invigorating and purging, it is called stablizing the essence of life, this is not for invigorating the insufficient energy nor purging the surplus energy, it is because the evil energies that cause disturbances are falling into loggerheads and they must be dredged." Yellow Emperor said:"How brilliant the principle of pricking is! I will write down what you said in the plate of jade and name it as the five disturbances."
