(2) 很多情況下，英語句子中介詞的賓語可以被轉(zhuǎn)譯為漢語的主語，這時(shí)英語的介詞常略去不譯。這在科技英語翻譯中尤為常見。如:

* There is a wide difference between these figures and the last ones.

這些數(shù)字與上次的數(shù)字之間有很大的差異。?

* Microwave electronic components and sub-systems are encountered during the development of 

systems such as those mentioned.

開發(fā)上述系統(tǒng)會(huì)遇到微波電子部件和子系統(tǒng)。

3. 譯成漢語的謂語

如果英語句子的賓語（包括介詞賓語）是由動(dòng)詞派生或具有動(dòng)詞意義的名詞，漢譯時(shí)可將賓語轉(zhuǎn)譯成漢語的謂語，原來修飾賓語的形容詞可以轉(zhuǎn)譯為修飾謂語的狀語。如：

* Each organism owes its existence to aenes it contains.

每個(gè)生物有機(jī)體因其含有基因而存在。

* In selecting a material, the engineer must have a knowledge not only of what the material's properties are, but also of how they are determined.

在選擇材料時(shí)，工程師不僅要知道材料的性能是什么，而且要知道性能是怎樣測(cè)定的。
