與此同時，面對當(dāng)今世界百年未有之大變局，面對當(dāng)前國際形勢中的不確定性和不穩(wěn)定性，習(xí)近平主席和莫迪總理作為兩個最大發(fā)展中國家的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人，也都覺得中印雙方有必要就兩國關(guān)系和國際事務(wù)中一些長期性、全面性、戰(zhàn)略性的問題作深入溝通。中印雙方一致認(rèn)為，安排一次非正式會晤是個好主意，可以為兩國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人提供一個適宜的氛圍，就共同關(guān)心的重大問題進(jìn)行充分深入的交流。我們相信，兩國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人這次武漢會晤將達(dá)成新的重要共識，推動中印關(guān)系持續(xù)健康穩(wěn)定向前發(fā)展。
問：美國財(cái)政部長前幾天表示希望訪華討論經(jīng)貿(mào)問題。請問雙方圍繞此訪商討進(jìn)展如何？有無具體時間表？
At the same time, in the face of unprecedented changes in the world today as well as uncertainty and instability in the current international situation, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi, as the leaders of the two largest developing countries, also feel that the two countries need to communicate in great depth on some long-term, comprehensive, and strategic issues embedded in bilateral relations and international affairs. The two sides agreed that an informal meeting would be a good idea so that the two leaders would make full and in-depth exchanges on major issues of common concern in a suitable atmosphere. We believe that more important consensus will be reached during the informal meeting in Wuhan which will contribute to the sound and stable development of China-India relations.
Q: The US Treasury Secretary expressed his hope to visit China to discuss economic and trade issues. How is the discussion going on regarding the arrangement of his visit and do you have a timetable for the visit?
答：美國財(cái)政部長姆努欽作出希望訪華的表態(tài)后，中國商務(wù)部新聞發(fā)言人已經(jīng)作出回應(yīng)：中方已收到美方希望來北京進(jìn)行經(jīng)貿(mào)問題磋商的信息，中方對此表示歡迎。中方這個態(tài)度沒有變化。具體情況建議你向主管部門詢問。
我想強(qiáng)調(diào)的是，中美經(jīng)貿(mào)關(guān)系的本質(zhì)是互利共贏的，長期以來給兩國企業(yè)界、消費(fèi)者都帶來了實(shí)實(shí)在在的好處。中美兩大經(jīng)濟(jì)體在經(jīng)貿(mào)領(lǐng)域出現(xiàn)一些問題不足為奇，可以通過雙邊協(xié)商解決，也可以在共同認(rèn)可的多邊框架內(nèi)解決，但肯定不應(yīng)有單邊解決的辦法。
A: After US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin expressed his hope to visit China, the spokesperson of the Commerce Ministry responded that China has received the information about the US side hoping to come to Beijing for consultations on economic and trade issues and we welcome it. That attitude remains unchanged, and I would refer you to the competent authority for detailed information.
I want to stress that China-US economic ties are mutually beneficial in nature and have long been delivering tangible benefits to the business communities and consumers of the two countries. It is not surprising for China and the US, the two large economies, to have some problems in the economic field. These problems can be solved through bilateral consultations or within a commonly recognized multilateral framework. However, they can never be solved through unilateral means.
