科技英語(yǔ)中，一些常用介詞的用法及譯法如下：
1. about關(guān)于；在......附近，在......周?chē)?/p>
1) He is explaining something about the engine.
他正在講解有關(guān)發(fā)動(dòng)機(jī)的一些事。
2) There is a pump room about the laboratory,
實(shí)驗(yàn)室附近有一個(gè)泵房。
2. above （位置）在......上，高出；（數(shù)量）超過(guò)……，以上
3) The number of coils is above a hundred.
線(xiàn)圈的數(shù)量超過(guò)了一百個(gè)。
3. across橫過(guò)，穿過(guò)；與……交叉；在......對(duì)過(guò)；跨在......兩端
4) Radio communication across the ocean was set up in 1897.
隔洋的無(wú)線(xiàn)電通訊建立于1897年。
5) The two copper wires are laid across each other.
這兩根導(dǎo)線(xiàn)相互交叉布設(shè)。
4. after 在......后（時(shí)間）；仿，依照
6) After finishing the experiment, we wrote down the results.
做完實(shí)驗(yàn)后，我們把結(jié)果記錄下來(lái)了。
5. against 逆著，對(duì)著，頂著；反對(duì)，違反；靠著，位置相對(duì)著；以防，以備
7) Heat is produced when work is done against riction.
當(dāng)克服摩擦而作功時(shí)，有熱產(chǎn)生。
6. along 沿著，順著
8) This shows that heat has been carricd along the copper wire to your hand.
這說(shuō)明熱已經(jīng)沿著銅絲傳到了你的手。
7. among 在......當(dāng)中（兩個(gè)以上）
9) Silver is the best conductor among all metals.
銀是金屬中最好的導(dǎo)體。
