中熱則胃中消谷，消谷則蟲上下作，腸胃充郭故胃緩，胃緩則氣逆，故唾出。

"When there is heat in the middle warmer, the food in the stomach will be digested more easily, after the digestion, the parasites in the intestine will be active to move upwards and downwards. When the intestine is full, the stomach energy will become flaccid and slow, when it is flaccid and slow, the energy will be reversing up and the saliva will be excreted along with it.

五谷之津液和合而為育者，內(nèi)滲入于骨空，補(bǔ)益腦髓，而下流于陰股[而下流于陰股:六字誤衍]。陰陽不和，則使液溢而下流于陰，髓液皆減而下，下過度則虛，虛故腰背[腰背:《甲乙》卷一第十三“背”作“脊”]痛而脛痠。

"When the grease formed by the combination of the body fluids transformed from the five cereals permeates into the vacancy of the bone, it can invigorate the brain and profit the marrow. If the Yin and Yang energies are not harmonious, the body fluid will be overflowing and flows out from the anus causing the marrow and the body fluid to become decreasing; when one exercises sexual activities excessively, his body will be in debility to have pain in the spine and sore in the legs."

陰陽氣道不通，四海閉塞，三焦不瀉，津液不化，水谷并行腸胃之中，別于回腸，留于下焦，不得滲膀胱，則下焦脹，水溢則為水脹，此津液五別之逆順也。

"When the energy routes of the viscera are impeded, the sea of energy, the sea of blood, the sea of marrow and the sea of water and cereals will all be obstructed; the triple warmer will fail to transport, the body fluid will fail to digest, the water and cereals will be accumulated in the stomach and intestine. When the water and cereals enter into the large intestine, they will remain in the lower warmer and will not be permeated into the bladder, in this way, it will cause the lower warmer to have distention and fullness, and the overflowing of the body fluid will cause edema. These are the adverse and agreeable conditions of the five kinds of the body fluid."
