問：據(jù)報(bào)道，針對中國在太平洋地區(qū)影響力上升，澳大利亞領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人將利用近日出席英聯(lián)邦國家首腦會(huì)議機(jī)會(huì)，敦促英聯(lián)邦國家加強(qiáng)在太平洋地區(qū)存在。此前，澳方官員曾指責(zé)中國在瓦努阿圖建立軍事基地，遭到瓦方駁斥。我們注意到，日前，斐濟(jì)最大報(bào)紙發(fā)表了瓦努阿圖一家媒體負(fù)責(zé)人文章說，瓦從本周起開始從火山噴發(fā)的阿姆巴伊島上轉(zhuǎn)移居民，成千上萬的民眾就要使用中國援建的碼頭，而正是這些碼頭被澳稱作未來中國海軍基地，文章呼吁澳方傾聽島國呼聲，不要醉心于自己的“惡意揣測”。中方對此有何評論？
答：我看到了報(bào)道。的確，有關(guān)國家應(yīng)放下身段，學(xué)會(huì)真正聆聽別國或別人的呼聲。詆毀或遏制別人贏不來對自己的尊重。對島國的關(guān)心和幫助不應(yīng)只掛在嘴上，而應(yīng)體現(xiàn)在實(shí)實(shí)在在的行動(dòng)中。
The people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and the US meet the aspirations of the two peoples and are beneficial to both sides.
Q: According to reports, in response to China's growing influence in the Pacific region, the Australian leaders will use the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to urge the members of the Commonwealth to step up their presence in that region. Previously, the Australian officials once criticized China of building a military base in Vanuatu, which has been refuted by Vanuatu. We noted that a Vanuatu media director's article recently published in Fiji's largest newspaper says that this week Vanuatu began to evacuate hundreds of thousands of residents from the island of Ambae as a volcano there erupted, using the Chinese-aided wharfs that were called the future Chinese naval base by Australia. A: I have seen that report. Indeed, the relevant country should put aside its arrogance and learn to listen to the voice of other countries and people with an open mind. Slander or containment won't win respect from others. Action speaks louder than words when it comes to lending help to the island countries.
