牌樓（牌坊）（pailou; pailoo; Chinese gateway ； memorial archway)

長(zhǎng)衫(包括旗袍)（cheongsam)，現(xiàn)在英語(yǔ)中又有了旗袍(qipao) 一詞，以示長(zhǎng)衫與旗袍的區(qū)別。由于英語(yǔ)中沒(méi)有上述表達(dá)，英語(yǔ)中的漢語(yǔ)借詞很少有表達(dá)同樣事物的英語(yǔ)同義詞。因而，漢語(yǔ)譯借詞是以全新的意義進(jìn)入英語(yǔ)的，具有淘汰率低，獨(dú)一無(wú)二的表達(dá)方式和準(zhǔn)確的特點(diǎn)。

6) 中國(guó)歷史時(shí)段、事件、典故、中國(guó)神話之類的英譯也很具漢語(yǔ)表達(dá)特色，如：

春秋戰(zhàn)國(guó)（時(shí)期）Spring-Autumn Warring Period

《三國(guó)演義》（蜀魏吳相爭(zhēng)）Romance of Three Kingdoms

公車(chē)上書(shū) [Joint Petition of Imperial Examination Candidates to the Emperor (led by Kong Youwei)]、六?四風(fēng)波（June 4th Disturbance) 、三十六計(jì)[(Chinese) Thirty-Six Tactics]、刻舟求劍(cutting a mark on the gunwale of a moving boat to indicate where one's sword once dropped into the river — take measures or act regardless of ever changing circumstance) 、東林黨人（Donglin partisan)、紅衛(wèi)兵（Red Guard)、四人幫（Gang of Four)、 造反派（rebel faction)、中國(guó)神話（Chinese Mythology)、童話（fairytales)、相聲[(Chinese) cross-talk]。

7)中國(guó)地名、人名雖說(shuō)都用漢語(yǔ)拼音拼寫(xiě)，長(zhǎng)期沿用的和用規(guī)范的漢語(yǔ)拼音譯的沒(méi)有多大問(wèn)題。如：紫禁城（Purple Forbidden City)，黃果樹(shù)瀑布（群）（Huangguoshu Falls) 。但對(duì)有中國(guó)特色的建筑名，用漢語(yǔ)拼音譯很容易，要加注講清楚就難。如：奎星閣 (Kuixing Mansion)，天后宮[Tianhou (Heaven Queen) Palace]。
