一方面，中英關系“黃金時代”為深化“一帶一路”合作打下了堅實的基礎。2017年底舉行的第九次中英經濟財金對話上，雙方就宏觀經濟政策、“一帶一路”等達成72項合作成果。雙方都同意深化“一帶一路”政府間交流與對話，充分發(fā)揮互補優(yōu)勢，在“一帶一路”沿線開展第三方市場合作。今年初，梅首相成功訪華，兩國領導人就推進中英關系“黃金時代”、深化“一帶一路”合作達成廣泛共識。
另一方面，“一帶一路”合作也為中英關系“黃金時代”提供了豐富內涵。2017年，義烏—倫敦班列首次往返，實現中英貿易物流全陸地運輸，標志著“一帶一路”延伸到歐洲最西端。隨著“一帶一路”建設如火如荼地開展，更多中國企業(yè)將目光投向了英國。截至去年底，中國對英累計非金融類直接投資191.4億美元，超過500家中國企業(yè)落戶英倫。2017年, 中英雙邊貨物貿易額接近800億美元，中國從英國進口增長近20%。今年前2個月，英國對華出口同比上升28.8%，中國依然是英國增長最快的出口市場之一。
On the one hand, the "Golden Era" has laid a solid foundation for deepening BRI cooperation.
The ninth China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue held at the end of last year produced 72 cooperation agreements on macro-economic policies and BRI development.
Our two governments agreed to deepen BRI exchanges and dialogue.
We will complement each other with our comparative strengths.
And we will work together to explore third markets along the routes.
During Prime Minister May's successful visit to China earlier this year, the leaders of our two countries reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the China-UK "Golden Era" and deepening BRI cooperation.
On the other hand, the Belt and Road cooperation has enriched the China-UK "Golden Era".
In 2017, the freight train of China Railway Express made its maiden round trip between China's Yiwu and London. This opened a new, on-land option for the movement of goods between China and Britain. It also marked the extension of the "Belt and Road" to the western end of Europe.
More Chinese companies have been drawn to Britain via the Belt and Road.
As of the end of last year, non-financial direct investment from China totaled $19.14 billion.
Over 500 Chinese companies had set up businesses in the UK.
In 2017, bilateral trade reached nearly $80 billion, with British export to China up by nearly 20%.
In the first two months of this year, British export to China maintained the strong momentum, increasing by 28.8% year-on-year, making China one of Britain's fastest growing export markets.
未來15年，中國市場將進一步擴大，預計將進口24萬億美元商品，吸收2萬億美元境外直接投資，為世界各國企業(yè)進入中國大市場提供更多機遇。今年11月，中國將在上海舉辦首屆中國國際進口博覽會。這不是一般性的會展，而是中國推進“一帶一路”建設、進一步開放市場的主動行動。我們誠摯歡迎英國各界朋友積極參加進口博覽會，把你們的商品和服務帶到中國，提升英國產品在中國、在世界的知名度。
展望未來，中英加強“一帶一路”合作前景廣闊，希望雙方抓住機遇，共同推動“一帶一路”合作再上新臺階。為此，我認為，雙方要重點做以下三方面工作：
In the coming 15 years, China will open up its market further. We plan to import $24 trillion of goods from the rest of the world and open up a two-trillion-dollar market to foreign investors.
What is worth a special mention here is the first International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai this coming November. This is not just any trade fair. It represents China's solid step to advance Belt and Road development and open up its market further. This will be a wonderful opportunity for British businesses to introduce British goods and services to China and build your brand names in the Chinese and world market.
Looking forward, there is a promising prospect for China-UK cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative. I hope both sides will seize the opportunities and take our cooperation to a new stage.
To this end, I would like to share with you three suggestions for China-UK cooperation on BRI.
