6. 語域不當(dāng)

語域是指表達(dá)方式的正式或非正式之分。中國學(xué)生常常分不清哪些場合使用什么說法，主要因?yàn)槲覀兪峭ㄟ^書本學(xué)的英文，而不是在實(shí)際的交際情景中學(xué)。例如：

as if to accommodate Ji'nan in a pretty cradle

說明：

accommodate很正式，pretty很口語化。

改譯：

“Don't worry, it's warm and safe here. ”

說明：

rest assured太正式，不像口頭說的話。

7. 濫用虛擬語氣

虛擬語氣用來表示說話人的主觀愿望或假想，而不表示客觀存在的事實(shí)，所說的是一個(gè)條件，不一定是事實(shí)，或與事實(shí)相反。中國學(xué)生在寫作或翻譯的時(shí)候，有濫用虛擬語氣的傾向。比如：

1) The Chinese economy could benefit greatly from the car market. Thus restricting purchase of cars would limit our economic growth.

2) Students would have studied for two years in a T program in China before they can apply for our AE.
