3. 引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句
作為連接詞，as可以引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句，從句可在主句之前，也可在主句之后。 譯為“因為”、“由于”等。如：
* As the speed of neutrons is reduced, they become thermal neutrons.
由于中子減速，它們變?yōu)闊嶂凶印?/p>
* Over-current on all electrical devices is undesirable, as it produces excessive temperatures, inefficient operation, and reduced service life.
所有電氣設(shè)備都不可以過電流運行，因為這會導(dǎo)致設(shè)備過熱，效率降低，且壽命減少。?
4. 引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句
as引導(dǎo)的方式狀語從句位置比較靈活，并常常和just連用，可譯為“正像…… 一樣（那樣）”、“正如……一樣（那樣)”、“同……一樣”，“如同”等，有時可譯為漢語的定語。如：
* Just as magnets have north and south poles, electric charges have the opposite polarities.
正像磁鐵有南北極一祥，電荷也有相反的極性。
* Partitions, as they are normally called, are internal waits built of the same materials as the other types of walling previously described.
—般所說的隔墻，通常是指內(nèi)墻體，它所使用的材料與上述幾種類型的墻體相同。
* The direction of rotation of the current is as viewed from the nearside of the coil.
電流旋轉(zhuǎn)的方向與我們觀察線圈靠近我們這邊所見到的方向相同。
5. 引導(dǎo)比較狀語從句
在as...as, not as (so)...as等結(jié)構(gòu)中，后ー個as可作為連接詞引導(dǎo)比較狀語從句（常常以省略的形式出現(xiàn)），表示肯定時可譯為“和（與）……一樣（同樣)”，表示否定時可譯為“和……不一樣”、“不如（沒有）……那樣”等。如：
