as引導(dǎo)的比較從句很多情況下不能按以上的固定格式翻譯，經(jīng)常要根據(jù)需要靈活翻譯。如：
* For certain uses there is no metal as good as steel.
就某些用途而言，沒有哪種金屬比得上鋼。
* Absolutely pure water comes as near as possible to being an ideal non-conductor.
絕對(duì)潔凈的水極其接近理想的非導(dǎo)體。
6. 引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句
as作為連接詞，可引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。as引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句要采用倒裝語序，構(gòu)成“形容詞（副詞）+as +主語+系詞（或動(dòng)詞)”結(jié)構(gòu)。漢譯時(shí)可譯為“雖然”、 “盡管”等。如：
* Very light as these particles are, their energies are considerable because of their high speed.
盡管這些粒子很輕，但由于速度很快，因而能量很大。
* Simple as it is, this method does not make very strong magnets.
這ー方法雖然簡單，但卻不能產(chǎn)生很強(qiáng)的磁鐵。
